My aunt swore I'd love a book if I read past page 50, and she was so wrong it hurt
My aunt Diane handed me a beat up paperback at a family BBQ in June and promised if I pushed to page 50 I would be hooked. I got to page 143, still bored out of my mind, and finally quit when a character had a 6 page talk with a horse. Now I want to swap it for literally anything else, so does anyone have a book that grabbed them by page 5 instead of page 50? I am also curious if anyone else has a relative who gives reading advice that backfires every single time.
