Started leaving a sticky note inside each book I pass along, and 4 people have already written back
I used to just hand books off at the library swap table in Tucson and never hear anything again. So I started writing a short note on the inside cover with my email and a line about what I thought, and 4 people have actually messaged me back about the story. Does anyone else do something like this, or am I just being weird about wanting to know where my books end up?
I do the same thing but with a small stamp on the title page that has my email. Kept it short and simple, just "read me, then pass me on" plus the address. Of the maybe 20 books I've set loose over two years, 6 or 7 people have reached out, and one of them ended up mailing the book back to me after she finished it. The notes where I write one real question, like "did the ending work for you," get way more replies than the ones that just say enjoy.
