Vent: I paid $18 for a used paperback that still had a library sticker from 1998 on it
The seller swore it was a "rare first edition" but it's a book club printing with someone's coffee ring on page 40, so has anyone else gotten burned by a swap deal that was way less special than advertised?

Ugh that library sticker thing kills me. I once bought a "signed" copy off a swap site and the signature turned out to be the previous owner writing their own name on the title page in ballpoint. The seller acted like I was the crazy one for complaining, so now I always ask for pics of the copyright page before I pay.
