A customer's one comment made me scrap my whole rounding method

I bind mostly journals for a local market in Portland, and this guy pointed out my corners were uneven on three books he bought last month. He said it looked like I was rushing the paring step, which stung because I thought my process was solid. I switched to cutting corners after casing in instead of before, and now I'm wondering if anyone else has had a customer spot a flaw that actually fixed their technique?

Funny how strangers see what we miss every single time.
