I just finished my 100th hand bound book and the number really got to me

It was a simple quarter leather binding for a friend's poetry, but when I wrote '100' in my project log, it hit me. I started this five years ago with a kit from a store in Austin, and now I can see the real progress in my stitching and corners. Has anyone else had a specific project count that felt like a big deal?

That "wrote '100' in my project log" part got me. I used to think counting projects was just keeping score, kind of pointless. But hitting a number like that forces you to look back. You can see the change from that first kit to your stitching now. It turns the number into real proof you stuck with it.

So do you think you'd actually start a log now? I love how @the_thea's "comedy of errors" log sounds way more real than some perfect record.

My project log would be a comedy of errors if I kept one. I'd have entries like "attempt 47: still can't cut a straight line" and "project 82: glue is now a permanent part of my hair." Hitting 100 of anything besides takeout orders is a real flex.
