PSA: I swore by my bone folder for years, but a demo at the Chicago Book Fair changed my mind.
Honestly, the presenter used a simple Teflon folder on some delicate marbled paper and it didn't leave a single shiny mark, which my bone one always does. Has anyone else switched tools for specific papers?

Yeah, that shiny mark thing is so real. I actually started using the back of a spoon for some stuff after I saw a binder do it, works weirdly well on thin paper.

The spoon trick is genius for getting rid of those shiny creases. I had a bent corner on a comic book page and gently rubbing it with the back of a teaspoon made it nearly disappear. It works way better than just trying to flatten it with your finger. Something about the smooth, curved metal just eases the paper fibers back without tearing. Total game changer for fixing little mistakes.

Honestly tried that once and ended up making the crease look like a tiny paper canyon. Guess my technique needs work, because my spoons are apparently out for revenge. Still a solid tip if you're less of a disaster than me.
