The $12 bone folder from an art supply store that I swore was a gimmick
Been using a cheap plastic one for years and figured a bone folder was just for show, but then I tried my friend's on a leather spine and it smoothed everything flat in one pass. Has anyone else found a budget tool that totally changed their workflow?

Picked up a $5 teflon bone folder from a garage sale just to see what the fuss was about and now I can't go back. My creases look like they were made by a ghost or something, perfectly straight every time. Guess I owe my buddy an apology for making fun of his fancy tool for years.

That plastic one probably worked just fine for years and saved you twelve bucks. These fancy bone folders are nice but they don't change the fundamental truth that you still have to do the work yourself.
