Found moss growing on a rusty fence in Portland that changed my whole shade garden plan
I was walking through Peninsula Park last month and noticed this thick green moss thriving on the north side of an old chain link fence, no sun at all. I scraped a bit off, mashed it with buttermilk, and painted it on my bare concrete wall in the backyard. Two weeks later it took hold and now I'm wondering if anyone else has tried the moss slurry trick on vertical surfaces, or did I just get lucky with the rainy weather?

Well, if my moss fails at least the concrete will match my dead houseplant graveyard vibe.
