Had a terrible day in the greenhouse last Tuesday and it changed my mind about humidity fans
I always thought keeping the air still was better for my orchids, but last Tuesday I lost three Cattleya buds to rot in my little setup near Portland. A guy from the local orchid society came by and pointed out my fan was blowing right at the plants instead of across the room. He showed me his setup with a small oscillating fan on low and now my humidity stays steady without wet spots. Has anyone else had bud rot issues that turned out to be an airflow problem?

Wait, you mean pointing a fan at wet plants isn't the same as giving them a haircut with a leaf blower?
