My plant ID app hit 500 confirmed species in my own backyard

I was just looking at my stats today and saw the number 500. I started using the app three springs ago, just to name the weeds. Now I have records for everything from the oak tree to a tiny moss on the north side of the shed. It made me realize I was walking past a whole world without seeing it. Has anyone else had a moment where a simple count made your hobby feel real?

Wow, 500 is incredible! I'm stuck on what you do when the app can't figure something out. Do you have a go-to book, or do you just let the mystery plant be?

Honestly I just ask the oldest person I know. My neighbor's grandma knows every weed and flower. Sometimes the old ways work.
