Showerthought: my entire seed-starting setup got fried during a power surge last Tuesday.

The surge protector was old and my heat mats, lights, and timer for 72 seedlings all went dark, so I had to scramble to move everything to a sunny windowsill before they damped off.

Oh NO, 72 seedlings? That's a full-on nursery right there. I can't even imagine the panic of trying to move that many tiny plants in time (my back hurts just thinking about it). A sunny window is a good save, but man, what a brutal way to find out your surge protector quit.

Ugh, that's the worst kind of surprise! At least the seedlings got a dramatic rescue story out of it.

Seventy two seedlings is a huge operation to save at the last minute. My heart would have been pounding trying to get them all to the window in time. It’s crazy how a piece of gear you trust can just fail like that. Did you manage to keep them all alive after the move?
