Bought a cheap mortar mixer off a truck and it cost me a whole day

Saw a guy selling a mixer for $200 cash on a job site in Tacoma. It looked okay but the motor gave out after mixing three batches. Had to stop everything, drive to get a rental, and lost about eight hours of work. That deal ended up costing me over $500 in lost time and rental fees. Anyone know a good brand for a small mixer that can handle daily use?

Wasn't that a $300 lesson, not $500?

Oof, that $500 hurts.

Wait, what was the $500 for? smith.anna said it was $300, so now I'm confused.
