Level line trust vs bubble level on long runs, bubble level won me over
Three years ago I worked a big retaining wall job outside Austin, and the foreman insisted we set everything with a laser level. I fought it for two days because I grew up on the bubble level and trusted it more. Last month I tried the bubble level again on a 40 foot garden wall and realized the laser was drifting on the posts. The bubble level took longer but every course stayed true, and the homeowner even noticed the line was straighter. Anyone else ditch the fancy tools and go back to the basics that actually work?
