My boss switched us from a standard 3/8 inch joint to a 1/2 inch joint on a big retaining wall project in Boise last spring. The difference in speed and stability after a full season is huge.

Yeah, that "game changer" thing is real. I see it everywhere now, like when they finally put the good soap in the gas station bathroom. Small upgrade, big difference.
