Skipping the wet test on bricks cost me a day's work

I mean, I thought they were damp enough from the morning dew. Now the mortar isn't setting right and I have to redo it all, idk what I was thinking.

Sometimes you don't need to wet them at all, depends on the weather.

Ever notice how plants just KNOW when it's gonna rain? My tomatoes perked up right before that last storm without me doing a thing. Makes you realize nature has its own schedule.

How did you pick up on that trick? I used to soak them every single time no matter what. Tried your way during that dry spell last month. Total game changer, can't believe I was wasting so much effort before.
