Switched from a speed square to a line lock for corners
I've been bricklaying for about 8 years and always used my speed square to check my 90 degree corners. Last month on a garage build in Columbus, I tried out a line lock for the first time on a tricky corner. It just holds the line tight from both sides and I got perfect corners every time without checking. Has anyone else found a tool that just clicks for them like that?

Wait, you mean there's a tool that actually makes corners square without me having to crawl back and check my speed square three times like a paranoid maniac? Tbh I've been using a line lock on block walls for about a year now and it honestly saved me from my own laziness. Ngl though, I still keep my speed square in my back pocket because old habits die hard and I'm convinced the universe will throw a wonky corner at me the second I leave it behind.

What kind of line lock are you running? I tried a couple cheap ones from the big box store and they were useless after about three uses. The plastic bindings just gave out.
