That fancy level I bought for $80 is actually worse than my old $15 one
I picked up a pricey digital level from the hardware store in Huntsville last month thinking it would save me time, but the bubble on my old one is way more accurate for laying brick. Has anyone else found the high tech stuff just doesn't hold up on actual mortar work?

I grabbed a Bosch digital level about two years back for framing work. Turned out the sensor went haywire after one season in my truck bed. Had to switch back to my old Stanley for the last brick wall I laid, never looked back. Sometimes the expensive stuff just adds unnecessary headaches on dirty job sites. Stick with what works for you, especially for mortar work where you need to trust your tools.

Man I feel that! My buddy swore by a fancy digital transit level and it started giving him wild readings right when he was trying to set pavers for a patio. Sometimes you just gotta go back to the bubble vials and a straight edge, they don't let you down when the pressure's on.

Ngl, "going haywire after one season" makes me wonder if you ever tried resetting it.
