That retired mason who corrected my line pull in Buffalo
He watched me set 40 feet of brick weave on a storefront last June and told me my line was sagging a sixteenth, so I asked how he could tell from 20 feet away and he said it was the shadow the mortar joints were throwing, but he spent the next hour showing me a trick with a level and a pencil that's made every wall I've done since come out flatter, has anyone else had an old timer give them advice that stuck that way?
