Tried wet-cutting with a hose instead of a dry blade on a patio job last week

Night and day difference in dust control. I always figured a wet blade would just make a muddy mess, but the cut was way cleaner and I didn't have to wear a respirator for once. Anyone else switched to wet cutting for outdoor work?

42 years old and I'm just now learning this trick, which basically means I spent half my 20s hacking up dust clouds like a cartoon character. My neighbors definitely thought I was running some sort of illegal smoke signal operation. I even tried the "just hold your breath" method on a smaller job once, which is basically asking for a lung infection. Wet cutting is the only way I'll do outdoor concrete or stone now, even if I look like a drowned rat by the end of it.

Got a shop vac setup for the runoff or just let it flood everywhere?

Right?! I did the same thing for years, just choking on dust clouds like an idiot. Wet cutting is a game changer, even if you end up soaked and covered in pink slurry.
