Before and after on a $15 bag of dried beans changed my meal prep game

I used to spend $4 a can on refried beans for my weekly tacos. Last month I grabbed a 2lb bag of dried pinto beans for $1.50 at the grocery store. Soaked them overnight and cooked them in my slow cooker for 6 hours. Got like 8 cans worth of beans out of that one bag. That's a savings of about $30 for just a little bit of planning. Anyone else made the switch to dried beans and found a trick for cooking them faster?

Did you try an instant pot? I soaked mine for an hour and they were done in 45 minutes, total game changer for me.

My buddy tried the instant pot trick and said the beans tasted like crunchy rocks.

Keep the canned beans, my instant pot beans always come out mushy lol.
