Frozen veggie debate - fresh or frozen for budget meals?
Spent like 45 minutes at the grocery store last Tuesday stuck on one decision. Frozen broccoli was $1.29 a bag but I read online it loses nutrients. Fresh was $2.49 a head and went bad in my fridge after 3 days. Which side do you land on for saving money without eating cardboard?

Went bad in my fridge after 3 days" - oh man, that's exactly my struggle too! I'll buy fresh spinach with the best intentions, and before I know it, it's a sad slimy mess in the back of the fridge. I'm team frozen all the way for broccoli and peas. Sure, maybe there's a tiny nutrition difference, but what good are nutrients if you're throwing half the fresh stuff in the trash anyway? Plus frozen is so easy to just dump straight into soups or stir fries without any chopping.

Ha! I ended up growing my own spinach once because I got tired of the store stuff wilting. Even that became a science experiment when I forgot to water it for a week.

I used to be convinced fresh spinach was the only way to go, but you guys have totally changed my mind about frozen. The waste factor is way too real when you're tossing out half a bag because it turned into slime. Honestly, it sounds way smarter to just keep a bag of frozen in the freezer and never worry about it going bad again.
