My grocery run hit $87 for one bag, so I dug the rice cooker out of the closet
Went to the store near my place in Boise on Sunday with $60 in my pocket and walked out with one bag of stuff and a receipt for $87 somehow. I stood in the parking lot just staring at it because half the bag was snacks and a rotisserie chicken I didn't even plan on. That night I dug my old rice cooker out of the closet and made a big pot of beans and rice with a bag of dried pinto beans that cost $1.29. Fed me lunch for four days and I still had cash left for eggs. What's your go to cheap meal when the grocery bill gets out of hand like that?
