My roommate swears chicken thighs are a waste of money compared to breasts, and I finally did the math on it
I sat down with receipts from 3 weeks of shopping at Aldi here in Ohio and thighs came out to $1.29 a pound versus $2.49 for breasts, plus they don't dry out in the pan. Has anyone else actually tracked their protein cost per pound, or am I the only one nerdy enough to keep a spreadsheet for this?
Tracking protein cost in a spreadsheet is some serial killer behavior and honestly I respect it. Thighs win every time for me too, cheaper and you can actually leave them on the grill for two seconds without them turning into shoe leather. The real question is why your roommate is out here paying double to eat dry chicken.
