Overheard a guy at Aldi saying canned beans are cheaper than dry if you factor in the gas to boil them
Been doing dry beans for years thinking I was saving money, but he figured it out to about 15 cents more per can with gas included. Anyone else crunch those numbers and switch back?

Wait, hold on. So this guy was actually calculating the cost of the gas to boil the beans? That's crazy. I mean, I get that it adds up over time but 15 cents more per can? That seems like a lot for just boiling water. I just use a gas stove and never thought about it that way. My brain hurts now.

Yeah I switched to an electric kettle for stuff like that and honestly never looked back.
