TIL people keep buying the wrong cut of chicken for cheap meals
I was at the grocery store in Springfield and saw a guy grab three packs of boneless skinless chicken breasts for $22. Right next to them were whole chickens for $8 each. That's like paying a big fee just to have someone else cut it up for you. I've been buying whole birds for years, and after you learn to break one down, you get two breasts, two thighs, two drumsticks, and wings for soup stock. How come more folks don't start with the whole bird to save cash?

Totally get where you're coming from. Saw the same thing at my store last week, boneless stuff flying off the shelf while the whole chickens just sit there. Learning to cut up a chicken feels like a life hack everyone should know. It's a bit messy the first few times, but you save so much money. The bones alone are worth it for making a pot of soup later.

But what if you just hate handling raw chicken?

Honestly I used to think that too, but learning to cut one up like xenaf51 said totally changed my mind. The bones for soup alone make it worth the mess.
