Update: my freezer door got left open overnight and I lost about $60 of food, need cheap meal ideas
Came home from work Tuesday and found the freezer door on my fridge cracked open about four inches, everything inside was soft and warm. I had just done a big grocery run at Aldi on Sunday so I lost chicken, ground beef, a bag of frozen shrimp, and a bunch of veggies. I hate wasting food and money like that, but now I'm stuck rebuilding my stock with only about $40 left in the food budget for the next two weeks. What are your go to cheap meals that don't need much meat? I'm thinking beans and rice but I want some variety so I don't get sick of it by day four.
