Used to buy pre-cut veggies at $4 a bag, now I chop everything myself

I used to grab those pre-chopped onion and pepper mixes from the grocery store in Chicago for like $4 a bag. Then about 6 months ago I added up what I was spending in a month and it came to nearly $60 just for convenience. Now I buy whole bell peppers and onions at the farmer's market and spend 15 minutes chopping them on Sunday. Has anyone else noticed how much those prepared bags add up over time?

Does it ever feel like there's a tax on being tired lol? I swear half the stuff we buy prepackaged is just paying for our own laziness at double the price.

Think it's more about paying for convenience than laziness honestly.

Omg @taylor.sean, right? It's like we're being penalized for being exhausted lol. The pre-cut veggies and bagged salad are such a rip-off but i still buy them every week.
