Went to a dollar store in Phoenix to buy spices and ended up having a 20-minute debate with the cashier about whether their paprika is actually just colored sawdust
I swear the jar said paprika but it tasted like nothing and smelled like an old cardboard box, has anyone else risked the $1.25 seasoning only to regret it immediately?

Yeah, that clear bag stuff is just red dirt in a bag.

Did you try blowing on it first to see if it was just the last bag's leftovers?

Man that's rough. Was it the store brand or the one in the clear bag with the bright red label? I grabbed that same stuff once and it was basically dust with a faint red tint. Did you try smelling it before you bought it or just grab and go?
