A hostel owner in Lisbon charged me 50 euros to do my own laundry and it changed how I pack
I was staying at a place near the Alfama district and the machines were coin-op but the front desk sold the tokens at a markup. I did the math and each load came out to about 50 euros after drying. That night I hand washed my stuff in the sink with a 2 euro bar of soap and it dried on the hostel roof by morning. Next trip I packed 4 quick-dry shirts and zero jeans. Anyone else just wash stuff in the sink now instead of paying hotel prices?
