Flying out of Chicago Midway I found a weird hidden meal trick

I was so frustrated paying $18 for a sad airport sandwich last month. Then I noticed the vending machine near gate B17 had hot meals for like $6 - burritos and pasta bowls that you microwave yourself. I grabbed a breakfast burrito and it was actually decent, saved me a ton over the food court. Has anyone else tried those automated kitchen things at airports?

Honestly though, how did they even get those machines stocked with hot food without it going all weird and soggy? @logan_young29 is right about the hand-microwave risk, but I'm more curious if the burritos actually hold up or if they're secretly just frozen bricks with a fancy sticker on them.

bro I feel this so hard, I paid $22 for a wrap at LAX last month and I'm still mad about it. the burrito was dry and the lettuce was sad, I looked like a chump standing there eating it. i'd probably end up microwaving my hand instead of the burrito knowing my luck though haha. definitely gonna scope out the vending machines next time, even if my dumb ass burns my mouth on a hot pocket from it.
