Hit 50 nights in hostels this year and honestly I'm exhausted
I saved like $2,000 compared to hotels but man, the snoring and 6am zipper noises are wearing me down. Anyone else hit a certain number of nights and start questioning if the savings are worth it?

@annaw73 brings up a good point. My buddy saved $300 on a road trip by sleeping in his car but ended up with a back so wrecked he couldn't hike for a week. Sometimes you gotta pay for your sanity.

Jumping right into this because it hits on something I've noticed everywhere lately. It feels like we're all stuck in this weird trade-off where we save money but lose our peace of mind. Like you think the savings are a win until you're lying there at 4am listening to someone snore and wondering if your sanity is worth those $40 you saved. I've seen it in my own life too where I'd rather pay a bit more for a quiet room than deal with that constant noise and lack of sleep. At some point the exhaustion just creeps up on you and makes everything harder. Honestly I'd rather spend a little extra and actually rest than save money and be miserable.
