Hostels vs cheap motels: I wasted $240 learning the hard way
Booked a $32 hostel in Austin for 4 nights and the snoring roommate situation was so rough I ended up paying $88 a night at a Motel 6 for the last two nights anyway, so has anyone figured out a way to tell from the listing photos whether a hostel dorm is gonna be a nightmare or actually fine?
