My $200 'budget' flight to Paris last spring actually cost me $800 after hidden bag fees and seat selection charges.
I only realized when the guy next to me showed me his exact same flight for $140 on a discount airline I ignored, and now I always check Skyscanner with flexible dates before I book anything, has anyone else fallen for the bait-and-switch fare game?

That bait and switch with the $140 ticket you mentioned happened to me too... I booked a supposedly cheap flight to Chicago and ended up paying double for bags and a seat that didn't even recline. Now I always filter by total price on Kayak, it catches those hidden fees before you get too excited.

Girl that exact thing got me too (such a letdown). Always take photos right when you open the package and save your receipt. Send them a polite but firm message with the pictures, and if they don't fix it, do a chargeback with your card.
