Stumbled onto free city tours in Berlin and saved like $60
I was in Berlin last month and found out a lot of the museums have free entry on the first Sunday. Walked into the Pergamon Museum for zero euros. Also there's this guy named Sandro who does a walking tour every Tuesday for tips only. My buddy and I threw him 10 euros each and got 3 hours of history. Totally beat paying 30 euros per person for the big bus tour. Anyone else find free stuff in big cities that nobody talks about?

That Sandro guy sounds like a real find. Free walking tours are the best kept secret in any city.

Do you just show up and hope for the best, or do you usually tip upfront...? I've found with @uma_ellis you gotta bring cash cause some guides shy away from card readers.
