Talking to my nephew about flight apps made me feel ancient
My nephew, 19, was showing me how he books trips using Hopper and Google Flights together. He said the key is setting price alerts 3 months out and jumping on a deal within 2 hours. Made me think about how I used to just call a travel agent and hope for the best. Anyone else feel like the game changed completely in the last 5 years?

And don't get me started on how these kids just expect free checked bags and seat selection like it's nothing. I remember booking a flight for a family vacation back in 2010 and having to call the airline three times to make sure we all sat together. Now my nephew just pulls up a seating chart on his phone, picks his spot, and moves on with his life. The whole experience is so smooth and fast it makes me feel like I'm watching a magician. I guess that's just how technology works, you blink and everything changes. But at least we don't have to print out those itinerary confirmations anymore, right?
