The $11 Hostel in Lisbon That Had a Chicken in the Lobby
Last month I booked the cheapest bed I could find in Lisbon, and the welcome committee was a live rooster named Fernando who sat on the check-in desk. I figured I'd saved a ton, but then the 5AM crowing made me buy €8 earplugs and a bus pass to escape to a park. Has anyone else ended up paying more to dodge a hostel's 'character'?
