The hostel breakfast trick I wish I learned 10 years ago
Back in 2013 I stayed at a hostel in Lisbon and watched this older guy load up a sandwich from the free breakfast bar for lunch. I thought it was cheap and rude back then. Now I see people still skipping that hack and paying $12 for a sad airport sandwich. Why pay for food twice when the hostel already throws in toast, cheese, and fruit every morning? Anyone else pack a stash from the breakfast spread to cover a meal later?

Whoa wait, seriously?? People actually pay $12 for an airport sandwich when they had free food sitting right there? That blows my mind. I did the same thing back in 2016 in Barcelona, I grabbed extra bread and ham and made two wraps for the train ride. It wasnt even about being cheap, it just made sense. Those airport prices are a straight up scam and I refuse to feed into it anymore. Good on that older guy for knowing what was up.
