Can we talk about hitting $5,000 in savings and feeling weirdly guilty about it?
I hit $5,000 in my savings account last month after about 14 months of putting away $75 a week, and my first feeling was not relief but guilt, like I should have gotten there faster. My sister says a milestone is a milestone and you take the win, but my buddy in Dallas says $5k is just a starter number and doesn't really count until you have six months of bills set aside. So which one is it, do you let yourself enjoy the small wins or just keep your head down until the bigger number hits?
