I compared meal planning apps for 3 months and one saved me $80 per week
I spent January using MealLime, then February with Paprika, and March with a plain notebook. Paprika won by a long shot for me. The grocery list feature let me compare prices across stores in my area near Portland. MealLime kept upselling me on premium ingredients I didn't need. The notebook worked but I forgot items too often. Has anyone else found a particular app that actually cuts their grocery spending?

Wait, did Paprika actually let you compare prices across different stores?

@faithcampbell Yeah that part got my attention too lol. I mean maybe its just me but I feel like half the savings come from actually knowing what you have at home already. Paprika has that pantry inventory thing right? I bet that stops people from buying duplicates which adds up way more than price comparing.

Paper and pen is honestly not bad if you're disciplined, but the convenience of an app just can't be beat. Paprika's price comparison feature is legit helpful, especially if you shop at multiple stores like I do. I've definitely noticed less impulse buys when I stick to the list it generates. The savings stack up fast when you're not wandering aisles grabbing random stuff.
