I finally figured out my grocery bill problem after tracking it for a month
I kept going over my food budget by about $80 every week and couldn't figure out why. It turned out I was buying lunch at work 3 or 4 times a week without even thinking about it. I started packing leftovers and using a simple app to track every purchase. Has anyone else found a sneaky spending habit that was wrecking their budget?

My coffee habit was doing the same thing. I was spending $6 every morning at the drive-thru without even looking at my bank statement. That's over $120 a month just on coffee. I switched to making a pot at home and putting it in a thermos. It tastes about the same and I don't feel sick about the money anymore.

Wait, $6 every single morning? That's wild, @terryg47. I knew coffee was pricey but that adds up so fast. Good on you for making the switch. I'd feel sick about that money too, honestly. That's a whole other bill just for caffeine.

Bettyroberts, that "whole other bill" feeling is why I finally fixed my own leaky kitchen faucet last week.
