I finally tried the cash envelope thing after swearing it was dumb, and Target broke me
My wife set up envelopes back in January and I told her it was a gimmick from the 90s, but then I saw our debit card hit $340 in one Saturday run at the Target on La Brea. Here is the part that got me: I pulled $200 in cash for gas and groceries and somehow came home with $18 left and no idea how my card math ever added up before. Does the cash thing actually stick for you long term, or does it fall apart the first time you have to order something online?
