Just read that the average American spends over $1,200 a year on subscriptions they forget about

I saw this stat in a report from Chase bank. I immediately checked my own bank statement and found three old app subscriptions I haven't used since last fall. That's $27 a month I was just throwing away. Has anyone else done a subscription audit recently and been shocked?

My calendar reminder on the first of each month works pretty well.

My audit found a gym membership I haven't used since my New Year's resolution died in February (which, let's be honest, was around February 3rd).

My calendar reminder is actually on the 15th, right after most bills are due. It helps me catch stuff like that before another month charges.
