Seasonal tire swap ended up costing me less than expected

I finally got around to switching my winter tires off last week in Denver. The shop quoted me $120, but I found a mobile tire guy who does it for $60 right in my driveway. He also checked the tread on all four and said I can get another season out of them. That saved me from dropping $500 on new ones early. Anyone else try the mobile tire service route instead of the big shops?

$60 cash is a steal for driveway service in Denver, I'll give you that. But did he actually put a torque wrench on those lug nuts, or just crank them with an impact gun? I've seen too many stripped studs and warped rotors from quick tire guys who rush the job. The tread check is nice and all, but did he measure it with a gauge or just eyeball it? A depth reading at 4/32 vs 3/32 can mean the difference between safe and sketchy for another season. How long did he actually take in your driveway, ten minutes per tire or twenty total?
