Spent $80 on a vacuum sealer and it paid for itself in 3 weeks
I bought a FoodSaver on sale to portion out bulk meat and produce, and my food waste dropped so much I'm actually saving on groceries now. Has anyone else had luck with these for meal prepping on a budget?

Bought one of those last year and it turned into a weird obsession with pickling. Started vacuum sealing jars of pickled onions and jalapenos from my garden, now I've got a shelf full of them. The sealing part works great for meat too, but watch out for the bags - the generic rolls are way cheaper than the name brand stuff and work just as well. My chili stayed fresh for months in the freezer without getting freezer burn.

You tried the generic rolls yet? I messed around with a few brands and the cheap ones seal just as tight, you just have to make sure the bag texture isn't totally smooth or it won't stick... saved a bunch.
