That $80 meal prep service left me with nothing but regret

I signed up for FreshBite last winter and after 8 weeks I was out $640 with barely a meal to show for it. Half the portions were tiny and the chicken arrived slimy twice. Anyone else find these services are just a trap for people who already struggle with budgeting?

Wait did they actually refund you for that nasty chicken?

Did you see that article on CNN last week about food safety complaints? It said most chains will cave on a refund if you just keep pushing nicely. @the_thea I bet if you went back and talked to the manager directly instead of just the cashier, they'd make it right. I had a similar thing happen at a fast food place once and they gave me vouchers for three free meals just to shut me up. Its worth trying again especially if you still have the receipt or a photo of that chicken.

Did you @the_thea actually get them to cough up a refund for that chicken? I had a similar thing at a different spot last month and just kept pushing politely until they caved.
