Warning: I used a $5 app to track my coffee spending and it showed me I was burning $120 a month at the gas station.
I started rounding up every purchase to the next dollar and putting the change into a separate account, which gave me an extra $47 this month for a vet bill I wasn't expecting.

Wait, you were spending $120 a month just on gas station coffee? That's a whole car payment.

My friend Carla used to get a large latte every single morning at the same convenience store. She finally added it up and it was over ninety dollars a month, which blew her mind. She said it was just part of her routine, like putting on her seatbelt, so she never thought about the cost. Now she makes a big pot at home and only buys one as a treat on Fridays. The weirdest part is she says she doesn't even miss it that much.

That "part of her routine" thing is SO real. I had the same with those fancy bottled smoothies from the corner deli. Grabbed one every afternoon like clockwork. Did the math and it was honestly kind of sickening, like a gym membership I never used. Switched to blending frozen fruit at home. Tastes better and I feel less like a sucker.
