Appreciation post: Switched from a regular notebook to a proper dot grid journal last month

I tried planning my week in a normal lined notebook for about six months, but my layouts always felt messy and uneven. Switching to a Leuchtturm1917 with dot grid pages let me draw straight lines and boxes without a ruler, which made everything cleaner and faster to set up. Has anyone else found a specific tool change that made a huge difference in their journaling?

That dot grid for straight lines without a ruler is a total game changer, same here.

Actually @kaih36, the dot grid is for GUIDING your lines, not totally replacing a ruler. You still need a steady hand to connect them. It just makes the whole process way less frustrating.
