Digital vs. analog bullet journals: hands down, paper wins every time

I tried doing my bullet journal on a tablet for like 3 months last year (an iPad with GoodNotes) and I kept losing focus. Too many distractions with notifications and apps pulling me away. Went back to a plain Leuchtturm1917 and a Pilot G2 pen, and my productivity shot up. The act of physically writing things down just forces me to slow down and think. Has anyone else gone back to paper after trying digital?

That physical act of writing really does make a difference.

Does it really make that much of a difference though? I mean, I get that some people like the ritual of pen and paper, but it's not like typing makes you forget everything you wrote. I've typed out plenty of notes over the years and I still remember most of them, or at least the important parts. Maybe it's more about what you're writing than how you're writing it.
