Eco-friendly bullet journaling dream turned into a smudgy mess
So I've been trying to make my bullet journal more green, you know, for the planet. I got this notebook made from recycled paper, which sounded great. But man, the pages are so thin that every pen I use bleeds right through. It's a total mess, lmao. I even tried lighter pressure, but then my writing looks faint. I'm stuck between being eco-conscious and having a functional journal. Has anyone found a way around this? I'd appreciate any advice.

Have you thought about switching to a pencil? Graphite doesn't bleed like ink, and you can get different hardness levels for darkness. I use a 2B pencil on my recycled notebook, and it looks clean without ghosting. Another idea is to only use one side of each page, then paste in thicker paper for important spreads. That way, you reduce waste but still get function. It turns the limitation into a creative challenge!

Coleman's pencil trick reminds me of how we often tweak small things to fix bigger problems. Like using a bread clip to organize cables or a binder clip as a phone stand. It's all about making do with what's around instead of buying new stuff. That mindset turns everyday hassles into little wins.
