Oh man, that's the universe forcing you to embrace wabi-sabi... I've totally been there trying to make something perfect. Sometimes those accidental "features" end up being the best part of the whole spread, like a forced moment of character in something too rigid.

Did you end up keeping the wavy border, or did you start over? My cat once marched across a fresh page with inky paws, and like @piper_coleman88 mentioned, that mess became a cherished wabi-sabi element. Now I see these accidents as tiny collaborations that make the journal truly mine.
